FUNDING AND FINANCES

 Government Childcare Funding

15 Hours Free Childcare for 2-Year-Olds 
 
Eligibility: This funding is available for families receiving certain benefits, such as Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA), and Universal Credit. Additionally, if your household income is under £16,190 and you receive Working Tax Credits, you may be eligible. 

How to Claim: You can apply through your local council's website. If eligible, your child will receive up to 570 hours of free childcare a year.  
 
15 Hours Free Childcare for 3 and 4-Year-Olds
 
Eligibility: All 3 and 4-year-olds in England are entitled to 15 hours of free early education or childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year. 

How to Claim: This funding is automatically available from the term after your child’s third birthday. You can arrange the funding directly with us when you enroll your child.
Working Funding from 9 months plus

Eligibility: Working parents of children 9 months plus may be entitled to 30 hours a week for 38 weeks a year which can be stretched over the full year. Both parents (or the sole parent in a single-parent family) must each earn at least £120 per week and less than £100,000 per year. 

How to Claim: Apply online via the government's Childcare Choices website. You will receive a code that you must provide to us to confirm your eligibility.

Additional Funding

Tax-Free Childcare Eligibility: Working parents with children aged 0-11 (or up to 16 if disabled) can receive up to £2,000 per child, per year, towards childcare costs. The government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider, up to the annual limit. How to Claim: Set up an account through the government’s Childcare Choices website, where you can pay your childcare provider directly. 

Universal Credit and Childcare Costs Eligibility: If you are claiming Universal Credit and working, you may be able to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs, up to £646 per month for one child or £1,108 for two or more children. How to Claim: You will need to provide evidence of your childcare costs to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) through your online Universal Credit account. 

Childcare Vouchers (Closed to New Applicants) Note: The Childcare Voucher scheme is closed to new applicants, but if you joined the scheme before it closed, you can continue to benefit from it. This allows you to pay for childcare from your pre-tax salary, reducing your taxable income. 

Additional Financial Assistance Disability Living Allowance (DLA): If your child has a disability, you may be eligible for DLA, which can help with additional childcare costs. Local Authority Funding: Some local councils offer additional support for childcare costs, especially for low-income families or those with children who have special educational needs. It is worth checking with your local authority to see what extra help is available.

Our centres offer flexible, bespoke hours and a wide range of attendance patterns, including alternating shifts, full year or term time only and different funding options. 

Because family circumstances and funding entitlements vary, it can be difficult to accurately calculate costs without understanding your specific needs. We have included our core fees as a guide; however, we encourage families to complete an enquiry form with details of their working patterns and funding requirements. This allows us to work with you to identify the most effective and cost-efficient schedule for your family.

Your funded hours are accessible without any additional hourly rate or 'consumable' charge in line with government guidance.

Mealtime Contribution When Using Fully Funded Sessions

We cannot currently support children bringing their own food for mealtimes.  Therefore we offer a meal plan for each session depending on the meals and other food and drinks that are offered during this session.  Accessing your funded hours is not reliant on accessing the meal plan.  These rates may differ if you request a bespoke schedule.
